Join us for a two and a half days exclusive event hosted by Educators Cooperative in Orange County, California, designed for school leaders, district administrators, and all educators supporting Career Connected Schools.
Participants will visit elementary, middle, and high schools to see best practices in career-connected learning. Talk to students, educators, and community members about how career conversations are making a difference in their schools.
Who should attend?
What does it cost?
Career Connected Schools share the same benchmarks, with the freedom to explore a wide range of methods to embrace the work:
See classrooms, speak with teachers, and hear from the students about the impact of this work!
Explore how schools are successfully integrating career-connected education into everyday instruction, using RIASEC frameworks and dialogic approaches to foster student career readiness.
Please reach us at jimaidiscicilia@educators.coop if you cannot find an answer to your question.
For those flying in, John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Orange County is the closest and most convenient option, just 13 miles from the Anaheim Convention Center. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) offers more flight options but is about 35 miles away and can have significant traffic delays. Long Beach Airport (LGB) is a good alternative at 18 miles away, though it has fewer carriers. All airports offer rideshare, taxi, and shuttle services to Anaheim.
From John Wayne Airport (SNA), Uber or Lyft rides take 20-30 minutes and typically cost $35-45. From Long Beach Airport (LGB), expect a 30-40 minute ride costing $45-55. If flying into LAX, rideshare services take 45-90 minutes depending on traffic and cost $65-85. All airports have designated rideshare pickup areas with clear signage to guide you to the right spot.
All hotel options will be in the area surrounding the Anaheim Convention Center, more details coming soon.
Transportation to and from the airport is not included - you'll need to arrange your own travel to reach the event hotel. However, we will provide complimentary shuttle service between the host hotel and school sites for all scheduled visits on April 14th and 15th. You don't need to make any arrangements for these transfers; details about pickup times and locations will be provided at check-in.
When you arrive at the host hotel, please visit the registration desk to check in and receive your name badge and conference materials. You'll receive all event materials, schedules, and other resources at this time. The registration desk will be staffed throughout the event to assist with any questions.
Dinner will be provided on April 13th, and lunch will be served on both April 14th and 15th during the school site visits. All other meals, including breakfasts and dinners on April 14th and 15th, are not included and will be on your own.
